Keep More of What You Earn
Year-round tax strategy, coordinated with CPAs, so April is a confirmation, not a surprise.
Where Tax Savings Actually Come From
Most of the tax you pay is decided by choices made during the year, long before a return is filed. We work on three fronts.
Income and Timing
When you take income, exercise equity, or realize a gain changes what you owe. We map the year in advance so those decisions land in the right bracket.
Investments
Asset location, tax-loss harvesting, and careful rebalancing reduce the tax drag on your portfolio without changing what you own.
Retirement Income
Roth conversions, withdrawal sequencing, and required minimum distribution planning shape how much of your nest egg you actually keep.
Planning, not preparation
We Plan All Year and Your CPA Files
Tax preparation looks backward and records what already happened. Tax planning looks forward and changes it. We do the planning: projecting this year’s bill while there is still time to move it, tightening withholding and estimates, and timing the decisions that only work before December 31.
We do not prepare returns. Your CPA stays your CPA, or we introduce you to one we trust, and they receive a clean, documented package from us so nothing is missed at filing. If the three of us need to be on one call, we set it up.

Common Questions About Tax Planning
Does Attend prepare tax returns?
No. Attend does tax planning, which looks ahead and changes what you will owe, and coordinates with your CPA, who files the return. We can introduce you to a CPA if you need one.
What does tax planning include?
Multi-year projections, withholding and estimated payment checks, Roth conversion timing, tax-loss harvesting and asset location, equity compensation timing, charitable giving strategy, and a documented year-end handoff to your CPA.
When should tax planning happen?
Before December 31. Most tax-saving moves, such as Roth conversions, gain harvesting, and donor-advised fund contributions, must be completed inside the tax year. We start projections mid-year so there is time to act.
Who benefits most from tax planning?
High earners with equity compensation, business owners choosing an entity or retirement plan, households with large taxable accounts, and anyone in a low-income year, such as early retirement, when Roth conversions are cheap.
Does tax planning cost extra?
Tax planning is included in Attend's financial planning and investment management engagements. It is not a separate fee.
Do you coordinate with my existing CPA?
Yes. Your CPA stays your CPA. We share projections and a year-end summary so nothing is missed at filing, and we join a call with the three of us when it helps.
