Serving Alpharetta
A Financial Advisor for Alpharetta Families and Tech Professionals
Alpharetta is a GA 400 drive from our Midtown office, and video meetings mean you rarely have to make it. We plan around your schedule, not ours.
Wealth Management for Alpharetta, from Midtown
Attend Wealth Inc. is an independent, fee-based registered investment adviser based at 999 Peachtree St NE, Suite 418, in Midtown Atlanta. We work with Alpharetta households in person at that office and, more often, by video. Tony Colunga, the founder and lead advisor, has more than 20 years of experience and spent earlier parts of his career at Morgan Stanley, Wells Fargo, and BBVA. Advisory services are held to a fiduciary standard. There is no account minimum, and the first meeting is a complimentary 30-minute consult. Client accounts are held at Charles Schwab. A plan for an Alpharetta family reviews cash flow, taxes, retirement, investments, insurance, and estate.
Getting to Our Office from Alpharetta
GA 400 south is the main route from Alpharetta to Midtown. It merges into I-85, and the 10th Street or 14th Street exits from the Downtown Connector lead to the office at 999 Peachtree St NE at Peachtree and 10th. The trip is usually manageable outside rush hour, but we would not call it short at 5 p.m.
MARTA rail does not reach Alpharetta. North Springs station, the northern end of the Red Line, is off GA 400 in Sandy Springs and has parking. From there the train runs straight to Midtown station, a short walk from our building.
Because of the distance, most Alpharetta clients meet with us by video, often after one in-person visit. The meeting is the same either way, with shared screens and the same written follow-up.
What Alpharetta Clients Usually Bring Us
Alpharetta combines a large technology employment base with families who moved here for the schools, so the questions tend to cluster.
RSUs vesting every quarter
Technology employees along the GA 400 corridor often receive restricted stock each quarter and let it pile up. We set a policy for selling, spread the tax impact across years, and move the proceeds into a plan that does not depend on one employer.
Two kids, one college fund, and no clear target
Families ask how much to save for college and where. We compare 529 plans with other options, since a 529 is not right for everyone, and make sure retirement savings do not fall behind while the kids are young.
A founder who has done well but has no personal plan
Founders and early employees in Alpharetta often carry most of their wealth in one private company. We build the personal side: emergency reserves, tax planning ahead of a liquidity event, insurance, and an estate plan coordinated with an attorney.
Who it fits
Who Reaches Out From Alpharetta
Most of our Alpharetta clients are families with children at home, young professionals in technology roles, and founders and business owners who want personal planning that keeps pace with the company. We also work with high-net-worth households after a sale or a long stretch of vesting. There is no account minimum. Common Questions from Alpharetta Clients
Is Alpharetta too far from your office to work together?
No. Our office is in Midtown at 999 Peachtree St NE, Suite 418, and Alpharetta is a straight run down GA 400, but most Alpharetta clients meet with us by video. The plan, the documents, and the follow-up are identical. You come into Midtown only when you want to.
Do you meet by video, and is it the same service?
Yes. Video meetings use screen sharing so you see the same plan and account views we do, and every meeting ends with written next steps. Alpharetta clients often visit once in person, then keep reviews on video. Nothing about the advice or the fiduciary standard changes with the format.
Is there an account minimum?
No. Attend has no account minimum. A young technology employee with a 401(k) and a first grant of restricted stock is as welcome as a founder after a sale. We charge for planning and advice, not for reaching a balance.
How does Attend charge?
Attend is a fee-based registered investment adviser. Advisory fees are explained in writing before you sign anything. Advisors may earn a commission if an insurance product is appropriate for your plan, and that is disclosed before anything is placed. We walk through the structure in the first meeting.
Are you a fiduciary?
Advisory services are held to a fiduciary standard, which means advice given in an advisory relationship must be in your interest. We write down our recommendations and the reasoning behind them, and we disclose any compensation beyond the advisory fee before you act on anything.
Can you help us decide between a 529 plan and other college savings?
Yes. A 529 plan is not right for everyone, and the answer depends on your tax situation, how many children you have, and how sure you are about college. We compare a 529 with other savings options and check that retirement contributions do not get crowded out along the way.
