Wealth Management for Buckhead, from Midtown

Attend Wealth Inc. is an independent, fee-based registered investment adviser that serves Buckhead from its office at 999 Peachtree St NE, Suite 418, in Midtown Atlanta, and by video. Tony Colunga, the founder and lead advisor, has more than 20 years of experience and previously worked at Morgan Stanley, Wells Fargo, and BBVA. Advisory services are held to a fiduciary standard. There is no account minimum, and the first meeting is a complimentary 30-minute consult. Accounts are held at Charles Schwab. For Buckhead households we review six areas: cash flow, taxes, retirement, investments, insurance, and estate, and we coordinate with your CPA and estate attorney.

Getting to Our Office from Buckhead

Peachtree Road runs south from Buckhead straight into Midtown and becomes Peachtree Street along the way. Our office at 999 Peachtree St NE sits at 10th Street. Piedmont Road is the usual alternative when Peachtree is slow. Outside rush hour it is usually a short drive.

MARTA is often simpler. Buckhead station and Lindbergh Center are on the Red Line, and Lenox is on the Gold Line. Both lines stop at Midtown station, at Peachtree and 10th, a short walk from our building, so there is no parking to think about.

Video meetings are available for any conversation. Many Buckhead clients come in for the first meeting and the annual review and handle everything else on screen.

What Buckhead Clients Usually Bring Us

Buckhead households tend to have more moving parts: executive pay, private businesses, and accounts spread across several firms.

Executive pay with stock, options, and deferred comp

Senior roles at large employers often come with restricted stock, options, and nonqualified deferred compensation. We map the vesting and payout dates, weigh the tax timing, and decide together how much company exposure is reasonable to carry.

A business that may be sold in a few years

Owners in Buckhead often have most of their wealth inside the company. We help you prepare personally for a sale: what the proceeds need to produce, how to structure taxes, and what changes for your estate plan.

Accounts at four different firms

Old 401(k)s, a brokerage account from a previous advisor, an inherited IRA, and a trust account rarely add up to one strategy. We consolidate the picture, cut the overlap, and simplify what you have to keep track of.

Who it fits

Who Works With Us From Buckhead

Much of our Buckhead work is with high-net-worth households who want an independent adviser rather than a large firm, and with business owners planning around a company. We also serve retirees managing income from several accounts and families who want cash flow, college, and estate questions handled in one place. If you are comparing us with a bigger name, our boutique wealth management page explains the differences.

  • A full inventory of accounts, stock plans, and policies
  • The two or three decisions that matter most this year
  • How your CPA and estate attorney fit into the plan
  • What our advisory fee would be for your situation

Common Questions from Buckhead Clients

Do you have an office in Buckhead?

No. Our only office is in Midtown at 999 Peachtree St NE, Suite 418, at Peachtree and 10th. It is a direct drive down Peachtree Road from Buckhead, and the Red and Gold lines stop at Midtown station a short walk from the building. We also meet by video whenever that is easier.

Do I have to come to Midtown for meetings?

No. Every meeting we offer in person is also available by video, with screen sharing so you see the same documents we do. Some Buckhead clients prefer to come in for the first meeting and annual reviews and use video the rest of the year. Either way works for us.

Is there an account minimum?

There is no account minimum at Attend. We work with Buckhead households at many stages, from an executive whose wealth is mostly unvested stock to a retiree with several accounts. What matters is whether the six planning areas need attention, not the balance on a statement.

How are you paid, and do you earn commissions?

Attend is a fee-based registered investment adviser. Advisory fees are explained in writing before you sign. Advisors may earn commissions on insurance products, and any such commission is disclosed before anything is placed. We do not hide compensation, and we lay out the structure in writing before any work starts.

Are you a fiduciary?

Advisory services are held to a fiduciary standard. In practice, that means recommendations in an advisory relationship are made in your interest and documented so you can see why. When a recommendation involves compensation beyond the advisory fee, such as an insurance product, we say so before you decide.

Can you work with my CPA and estate attorney?

Yes, and we prefer to. We coordinate with outside estate attorneys and do not draft legal documents ourselves. For taxes, we share the planning assumptions with your CPA so that the return and the plan agree. Many Buckhead clients already have both professionals in place, and we fit in alongside them.
